Eczema (Story 4)

Ever since I can remember I had rashes on arms where my elbow crease is. I used to itch and itch and itch...and ITCH! My arms would get so red and bleed (sorry, I'm not trying to be gross, but it's true). I saw an allergist and was prescribed topical steroids to keep the inflammation down. My eczema was terrible and I thought it was something I would have to deal with the rest of my life. Little did I know, when I changed my diet, my eczema went away too! My arms look normal now, how cool is that? I used to take so many medications and pills. Today I don't take any medications at all. I rarely get sick, and if I do, I google homeopathic remedies and always recover quicker and feel better. I hope by sharing this story with you, you learn something about me, who I am, and why I am a vegan today. If you're feeling brave or vulnerable, or just want to make a new friend, please leave a comment below, sharing something about yourself, so I can get to know you too.

I also suffer from a skin condition called Psoriasis. It covers my entire body and I have been considering going vegan to treat it because it hinders my everyday life. It’s just hard because I live with my family who are not vegan and there are always meat and meat byproducts in the house that tempt me. It’s also hard because I haven’t connected with anybody who is completely vegan and know of places where I can get really amazing vegan food.
How did you become vegan and how long did it take? What were your usual meals to start becoming vegan?
Sorry for asking so many questions that you probably answered somewhere else on your blog, but I thought I would ask :)
