Super Bowl Sunday - Thursday, January 29, 2015

Having people over for the Super Bowl this weekend? Need some ideas for what to serve? Here are 7 different ideas that are fun, simple, delicious, and even have Super Bowl team colors!

 

Maybe you're going to a Super Bowl Party? Don't show up to a meat lovers party expecting them to have the good stuff! Bring a plant-based option, but warning, make sure you bring enough for everyone to try!!

Menu

  • Football Field Dip 

  • Organic Tortilla Chips & Trader Joe's Roasted Garlic Salsa

  • Field Roast Apple Sage Sausage & Trader Joe's Sriracha Garlic BBQ Sauce

  • Strawberries & Blueberries + Vanilla Yogurt Sauce 

  • Trader Joe's Meatless Meatballs & Ketchup 

  • Green Apple & Blueberries + Almond Butter

  • Layered Smoothies (Green-White-Blue & Red-White-Blue) 

1. Football Field Dip

-In a baking pan spread guacamole in the center leaving room for salsa and chili on each side. 

-Use sour cream to make football field lines.

-Cut, assemble, and hot glue gun field goal post out of wooden skewers.

 

2. Chips & Salsa

-Put salsa in dipping container and serve with chips.

 

 

3. Field Roast Apple Sausage & Trader Joe's Roasted Garlic Sauce

-Preheat oven to 400° and bake for 20 minutes.

-Cut into bite size pieces and serve with toothpicks & sauce.

 

 

4. Strawberries & Blueberries + Vanilla Yogurt Sauce 

-Assemble strawberries and blueberries in party platter w/ vanilla yogurt (non-dairy, purchased at Trader Joe's) in sauce container.

 

 

5. Trader Joe's Meatless Meatballs & Ketchup

-Preheat oven to 400° and bake for 20 minutes (I cooked sausage & meatballs together)

-Serve with toothpicks & sauce. 

 

 

6. Green Apples & Blueberries + Almond Butter

-Assemble on a plate, either according to my picture or however you desire!

 

7. Layered Smoothies

-Red: Mix 1 beet, 6 frozen strawberries, 1 banana, & almond milk in a blender. 

-Green: Mix 1 banana. 5 frozen strawberrries, 1/2 apple, 2-3 handfuls of kale & almond milk in a blender.

-Blue: Mix 2 cups of frozen blueberries, 1 banana, scoop of rolled oats, & almond milk in a blender. 

-White: Vanilla Yogurt (non-dairy from Trader Joe's).
